Senior Thesis Concepts

Here are my concepts for my senior thesis. The first is called "A Broken Spirit" the second is called "Follow The Wind" and the last is called "Special Delivery". The one that got chosen was "Follow The Wind".

"A Broken Spirit"

Concept Sentence:
Though we may become shattered by lifes trials and tribulations, we are not alone. There is
always someone who can find us in our darkest hour and bring us to the light again.

Characters:
Female (Savior)  &  Male (Broken Soul)

Conflict:
After our male lead is severely burned in a fire he shuts himself off from the world. He begins to
let his inner demons take hold and break his spirit. But a star falls from the heavens to heal
his heart and bring him back to the light.

Ending:
Our female lead finds our male lead and breaks his barrier and opens him up to the world
again. As the female lead manifests back into a star, our male lead becomes a star and goes
into the heavens with her.

"Follow The Wind"

Concept Sentence:
On our journeys to find our purpose in life we experience beautiful wonders. But when those
times come that we might want to give up, with just the right pick me up we can find our place.

Characters:
A Scarf  &  A Little Girl

Conflict:
In the fashion district of Chicago we see a scarf fly off of a clothing rack into the city streets.
As we follow the scarf on a beautiful choreographic journey to find its purpose we see it in its
ups and downs and even its lowest point.

Ending:
When the scarf almost seems to give up, the wind picks it up and carries it off to a near by
neighborhood where it wraps itself around the neck of a small girl to keep her warm.

"Special Delivery"

Concept Sentence:
Sometimes something can strike fear into our spines. Something that we don’t know and are
unsure of gives us the chills. But things can seem worse than what they actually are when we
judge a situation by first glance.

Characters:
Milk Containers

Conflict:
As we see milk containers being dropped off at peoples doorsteps, everything seems alright.
Until the milk containers are alerted when one is pulled into a dark house. The other milk
containers begin to become terrified by the unknown.

Ending:
When the last milk container is dropped off we see it put into a fridge. It waits for the worst
only to be taken out, stripped of its milk and turned into a milkshake. Kind of an upgrade if you
ask me.

Archeological Salvage Photos

Here are a few photos I took after going to the Archeological Salvage in Sarasota. We were to take photos and come up with a story for 3 of the items we took photos of. And answer questions like where did they come from and what is there purpose in this new place.

Story 1:
This chair once belonged to a wealthy man in Africa who loved to hunt. Though he loved animals he mostly loved them for the hunt of it all. Every evening he would sit in this chair and enjoy a nice tobacco pipe while he sat in front of the fire admiring his trophies of animal heads and what not. Though one day he fell in love with a beautiful woman. She was everything his heart desired, but he was nervous of what she would think of him when she saw his trophies. So though he loved to hunt he was willing to give up this hobby to be with her. But when he invited her to his home she loved everything about his home and ended up taking hunting with him.

Story 2:
For these Mason Jars in the cart I imagine that these use to be used for milk delivery during the 50's in the south. I can imagine these jars having a life of there own and "dancing" to a whistle like beat almost like the dippity-do-da song from Splash Mountain in Magic Kingdom. As these jars hop to the beat they are each left in a door step to be with there customer. But when each jar is taken into there new home the music isn't so joyous. As the other jars in the cart see each friend being taken away they begin to freak out not knowing what will happen to them. But when the last jar enters his new living we see him being put in the fridge and relax. So things might not always be what they seem.
